Weekly Journal No. 8 

I Can Do It

Accomplishment:

·                 I supervised the second quarter examination of Grade 7 Masayahin on last October 16-17, 2014. Thanks God for I am able to manage and discipline the students during their examination even if I my cooperating teacher leave me alone in the classroom. My cooperating teacher also admired me for disciplining the students.

·                 I attended also the seminar workshop entitled “The Heart of a Teacher” held in Gerard Decaestecker Function Hall.  In which Dr. Barbara Lagos, the speaker stated that a teacher must handle any situation with virtues.

·                 I watch the documentary “Rescue in the Philippines” in Casa Valejo.

Insights:

      When I administered the examination of Grade 7 Masayahin, I learned that there’s no need to shout or use force to discipline the students. As Ma’am Lagos stated in seminar last Saturday October 18, 2014“the loser is the one who used the force”. It is true because there is no essence of getting angry.

Significant Experience:

      I was motivated when my cooperating teacher admired me for disciplining my students; even tired I still have energy to supervised and do the things that my cooperating teacher wants me to do. What I hate is when the other proctor have the other students to lend the checklist to the other class and I am waiting for them to start the exam at the same time.

Problems:

     
     There will be no class on October 20-21, 2014 for grade 7 then they will have their break again on 24^th of October, 2014. I am worried that I will accomplish all thirty rated lesson, I still need five or more. Can I still complete my thirty lessons?

Solution:

     I can request other cooperating teachers to observe me just to be done with my thirty rated lessons. I will try to convince my cooperating teacher that she will give me an advance lesson for my class, I'll be grateful and thankful of it.

Goals for Next Week:

     Before leaving Baguio City National High School- Main, I want to teach something that my students cannot forget and hopefully I will accomplish all the requirements needed.
